Today we’d like to introduce you to Kimberly Gumbs.
Hi Kimberly, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Absolutely! My journey has been rooted in family, creativity, and figuring it out as I go. I’m a proud wife to my best friend Cleeton and a mom to two incredible kids, Aiden and Paris. We’re based in Florida, and what started as casually sharing family moments online—Disney trips, movie nights, dance recitals—naturally grew into something so much bigger.
During the pandemic, I started posting more intentionally. People really connected with our content—the joy in our everyday moments, our love for Disney, and how we keep things real and grounded as a family. That’s when “Life With The Gumbs” truly came to life. Over time, our platform became a space where we could share not just fun adventures, but also the values we live by: Authenticity, Integrity, Excellence, Faith and Freedom.
Today, we’re a full-on family content creation team. Beyond making lifestyle content and partnering with brands, we’ve had the opportunity to do commercial and photo shoot work for major companies—including our most recent project with Universal’s new theme park, Epic Universe. These moments have been incredibly rewarding and a reminder of what’s possible when you stay consistent and true to your purpose.
At the end of the day, we want our story to be a reminder that you don’t have to have it all figured out to start. Show up as yourself, stay aligned with what matters to you, and keep building. That’s what we’ve done—and we’re just getting started.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Definitely not a smooth road—but I’ve learned that real growth rarely happens in comfort. One of the biggest challenges has been balancing motherhood, marriage, and content creation while still working a 9–5 job. There were plenty of nights I stayed up editing after the kids went to sleep, or moments where I questioned if what I was building was even making a difference.
Another struggle was finding my voice and staying confident in it. In this space, it’s easy to compare yourself to others or feel like you have to fit a certain mold to succeed. But I had to stay grounded in who I am and the values I live by—Authenticity, Integrity, Excellence, Faith and Freedom. I don’t just want to create content; I want to create meaningful connection that feels real and resonates with people.
Working in a creative space with your family is incredibly rewarding, but it also comes with its own challenges. It takes a lot of communication, patience, and teamwork to make things flow—from working around the kids’ school and activity schedules to navigating brand deadlines and content planning.
So no, it hasn’t been easy—but it’s been worth it. Every setback taught us something. Every “no” led to something better. And every small win reminded us that we’re on the right path.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Outside of content creation, I also work a 9–5 in operations support, which definitely keeps me on my toes! I won’t get into the specifics, but it’s taught me how to manage projects, communicate clearly, and stay organized—skills that naturally carry over into what I do as a family and lifestyle creator.
Professionally, I’m known for being reliable, creative, and values-driven. Whether I’m working with a brand, managing our content calendar, or planning our next shoot, I approach everything with excellence and intention. I don’t just post to post—everything I share is thoughtful and reflects who we are as a family.
What I’m most proud of is that I’ve stayed true to myself while building something meaningful. My content is rooted in authenticity, and I believe that’s what truly sets me apart. I don’t try to make things look perfect. I share the fun, the chaos, the everyday wins and losses—and I think people connect to that kind of honesty.
What does success mean to you?
To me, success isn’t just about numbers, titles, or income—though those things can be great. I define success as living with intention and staying aligned with what truly matters. It’s about keeping my family at the center, being true to my values, and using my creativity to connect with and encourage others.
If I can look at my day and feel like I showed up fully, led with integrity, and created something that brought joy or value to someone else—that’s a win. Success, for me, is freedom. It’s peace. It’s being able to create space for what matters and let go of the things that don’t.
That’s the kind of success I work toward every day.
