Meet Krystal Jones

Today we’d like to introduce you to Krystal Jones.

Hi Krystal, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’m a country Georgia girl living in a big city Florida world. I work the typical 9 to 5 and run a small business, Krystal On The Move, LLC part-time.

I’ve managed and still currently manage social media accounts for businesses and nonprofits. I also work with lifestyle, beauty and travel brands with the goal to one day work with Southern Living magazine. I can dream, right?

Each year, I take on hours of community service and work on projects in areas ranging from career counseling high school students to suicide prevention and awareness. I can’t wait to make a difference in Centra Florida.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
In 2016, I experienced a nervous breakdown, which was followed by years of clinical depression. I was going to a job everyday for about 14 years that I felt, made it worse.

In addition to therapy, I began meditating and found solace near the water, specifically Florida beaches. Because of this, I decided to just move here. The road to making yourself happy is not a smooth one at all but worth it.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I love to promote the brands that I use. My goal is to establish more partnerships with local eateries, hot spots and hotels and to one day take Krystal on the Move, LLC full-time with influencer marketing.

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
Mentorship and networking are essential to your success. Put yourself in the rooms you want to be in, show up and support others who are doing what you desire to do.

I’ve had so many great opportunities that came out of volunteering. Don’t be afraid to show up to events alone, even if you have to pay and initially you may have to accept unpaid work-do it as if you’re getting paid and watch bigger (paid) doors open.
