Life & Work with Marcus Lowe Sr

Today we’d like to introduce you to Marcus Lowe Sr. Them and their team share their story with us below:

Marcus Lowe is an energetic, motivated and highly dynamic person with strong working skills and a broad range of hands-on and theoretical experience in the personal training field; adept at providing workout plans and developing new exercise regimens through physical activity/work. Marcus is highly qualified, demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills, specializing in mentoring youth, helping clients reach their personal fitness goals as well as body sculpting, speed and agility training, and skills training.

Growing up Marcus had a passion for football. However, he was unable to afford proper training or a personal trainer for that matter; he did not have anyone to guide him or show him the ropes, and because of his passion he vowed that whenever the opportunity presented itself, he would help other children like his younger self. After careful consideration and countless conversations with his wife, their drive to help others along with Marcus’ love for physical fitness inspired the two of them to birth, Let’s Get it Training Inc., (L.G.I. Training).

L.G.I. Training was first established to mentor to and enable underprivileged children with the opportunity of affordable training to aid them in their pursuit to live out their dreams and become one step closer to reaching their goals of moving on to the next level.

Although unable to continue the career path he dreamed, due to football injuries beyond his control; Marcus never let that stop him from being a blessing to others. With experience in professional training, being able to attend several NFL combines and many training camps, Marcus has what it takes to instill the principles of what is needed to move forward in the pursuit of a professional athletic career or just to help one reach their personal goals. So it only makes sense to be able to pass that knowledge on to others.

Later realizing the real truth behind the saying “if you do something you love, you’ll never have to work another day in your life,” Mr. and Mrs. L.G.I. Training expanded their reach to not only focus on children but people as a whole. Therefore, giving you a fitness company that targets improving one’s health not only via physical activity but nutrition.

L.G.I. Training…Improving Health and Loving Life.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Some of the things I struggled with was not having a set schedule in the beginning. I was working nonstop trying to accomplish goals. I was wanting to make things work so perfectly I wasn’t taking the proper steps to get what I needed, which was rest. I realized also no matter how hard you try and take care of people some just wanted to be difficult.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
As of today, I work at Phillis Wheatley Elementary in Apopka, FL. Where I help in P.E and wherever I’m needed. I’m actually in an afterschool program where I’m mentoring and training the kids.

During the weekends, I’m training athletes now that football season has come to an end.

I think I specialize in training and getting the kids to actually believe more in themselves.

I think I’m most known for training and actually pouring into the youth.

What makes me proud is actually seeing the kids I train graduate from high school and continue to chase their football dreams and goals. Seeing those kids smile and simply say coach I definitely appreciate you helping me live out my dream.

What sets me apart from others is the bond and that I actually relate to the majority of the kids, I come in contact with.

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
The most important lesson learned on this journey was that no matter how much I pour into the kids, I have to be able to deal with the decisions they make when they get older. And don’t let that deter me from moving on to the next kid or kids.
