Life & Work with Maria Martha De Benito of kissimmee

Today we’d like to introduce you to Maria Martha De Benito.

Hi Maria Martha, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My story begins when I was very young. My mother loved Disney animated films and always took me to the movies. I lived in Buenos Aires, Argentina, at the time. When Walt Disney World opened in 1971, I realized that dreams do come true because Walt’s dreams were fulfilled, even though he was no longer in this world. I began to dream of one day working at Disney.
Years passed, and when I was 12, my mother contracted cancer and died two years later. This event marked my life forever. My dreams were forgotten and stored away in the trunk of memories.
Years later, I got married and left home. I pursued a career as a therapist specializing in Bioneuroemotion, emotional education, and spiritual growth. This allowed me to work online and gave me the freedom to travel. Although I work with patients from all over the world, the main patient I needed to heal was myself and my son, who was born with autism.
As I healed, I regained the joy and enthusiasm of my inner child, and at the same time, my son became more connected to the world and more present. We shared outings and watched Disney movies both at home and at the theater. Little by little, I began taking my son to the theme parks, and I began to reconnect with my dream of working at Disney. One day, the opportunity arose, and today I work for Disney as their travel agent.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It’s been a journey filled with growth and learning, with some very happy moments and others not so happy. I had to heal and change beliefs to recover my childhood dreams and begin to believe that everything is possible and that dreams do come true. I was born in a country that has experienced much political, social, and economic conflict caused by its own governments, and when I decided to leave, it was very painful to leave my family and friends behind. But my dreams gave me the strength to move forward and achieve my goals.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am an emotional therapist and spiritual mentor. I help people shift their consciousness and transform their perceptions, moving from a dual consciousness of separation guided by ego or fear to a Christ-like consciousness of unity guided by love or our inner Being. This shift in consciousness leads us directly to a state of inner peace and harmony, which brings health, love, and abundance to our lives. I have accompanied many people in this process of transformation and change. People with various ailments such as cancer, depression, or any type of stress or difficulty have been cured or have significantly improved thanks to this shift in consciousness. Additionally, fulfilling my dream, I am a certified travel agent for Disney and Universal, bringing my clients joy and fun along with inner peace.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
I remember summers at the beach with my siblings and parents, the joy of playing in the sand and enjoying the ocean. I also remember going to the parks and the adrenaline rush of the rides, the balloons, the music, and the aroma of popcorn along with a memorable song from a Disney movie. My mind and heart flutter just thinking about it because all of that is the joy that was etched into my happy years.
