Today we’d like to introduce you to Megan Grace.
Hi Megan, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
I’ve always loved taking photos. If there were something to photograph, I would, and even if there weren’t, I would find some or create something to photograph. In high school, I would do sessions for friends and family for fun, working on different posing and just improving my photography overall. Throughout college, I got serious, upgraded my equipment, and focused on improving my editing skills. From there, I kept self-teaching myself more about photography and taking on more and more clients that weren’t just people I knew.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has been pretty smooth for the most part. Sometimes the need for photos might need to be more consistent, which can be frustrating, but you learn to find more and more ways to provide options to your clients for quick or even holiday sessions.

I am a photographer specializing in family photography, although I will shoot events, seniors, etc. I am most known for family photography and kids’ portraits. I love seeing families year after grow together and photograph their kid’s every birthday milestone and even cute little holiday minis. I am most proud of how far I have come with learning all by myself, especially this past year with how much I have grown my clientele outside of people I know. It’s really awesome when someone recommends you or finds your work online. What might set me apart from some of the trends and styles today is that I love the light, airy look for photos, and I’ve always shot that way.
What do you like and dislike about the city?
I love our city and how there is so much to do around us.
