Hi Mindy, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always had an eye for design and naturally drawn to restyling spaces for friends and family. Especially the Restyle element to a space. Naturally, I would walk into a space or room and instantly see how a few small shifts could dramatically improve the overall feel and function. What began as a hobby gradually grew into a passion and after a few years of informally helping others, I decided to turn the passion into a business and launched The Home Stylist. Through the Home stylist I offer Interior Personal shopping, Restyling and organizing. Often, we become so accustomed to our surroundings that we can’t envision the possibilities. Making changes can feel overwhelming. I’m here to provide a fresh perspective, spark inspiration and guide people toward creating spaces that reflect and support their lives.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It’s rarely a smooth road when you’re reinventing yourself and stepping into a new and different role or category. Shifting how others perceive you – especially when transitioning to something entirely new can be challenging. It often brings moments of self- doubt and forces you to confront your own confidence. Gaining credibility in a new space takes time, resilience, and a strong belief in your vision, even when the path isn’t clearly defined.

I specialize in transforming living spaces through interior styling, personal shopping, and organization. I am the creative visionary behind The Home Stylist. My work is all about helping clients see the potential in their homes and making those spaces truly reflect their personality and lifestyle. What sets me apart is my ability to bring a fresh perspective and with a keen eye for detail, helping clients break out of their routine and embrace new possibilities. I’m most proud of the moments when clients tell me their newly styled space has truly changed the way they feel and live in their home. I’m known for being trustworthy, resourceful, honest, creative, FUN and lead with integrity.
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
I find success in creating meaningful transformations for both spaces and people who live in them. When a client feels at ease, joy, inspired or connected to their home after we’ve worked together that’s a true success to me. It’s not only about aesthetics, it’s about how a space supports someone’s lifestyle and well – being. I also see success as an ongoing journey to my growth- continually refining my craft, building trust with my clients and staying aligned with my purpose and passion. Success is also growing a small, local solo-preneur business by word of mouth and referrals from friends, family and clients based on a successful job well done with honesty, creativity and integrity.
