Today we’d like to introduce you to Nora Arenivas.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
In 2020, due to unforeseen circumstances and changes in my previous career, I began pursuing a new career and a journey in the Real Estate Industry. I invested my $1,200 stimulus check and decided to expand my knowledge and passion for helping people. With over 22 years in the customer service industry, I have been a former cosmetologist for sixteen years, an entrepreneur for nearly seven years; I always strive to advocate for others and be the person people can trust. A native Mexican, I have been truly privileged and blessed to connect with the most amazing people from all over the world; those connections have shaped my life and cultivated positive relationships. Those relationships motivated me to challenge myself and pursue a career as a Realtor® where I can use all my skills and passion to guide and help people with the most important and emotional decision of their lives, the process of buying or selling their home.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Everyone’s journeys are different; for me, it’s been many ups and downs, emotionally and financially challenging for the past year. Because of financial hardship, the biggest challenge it’s been giving up some of my goals of pursuing my bachelor’s degree. Hopefully, within a few years, I’ll be able to retake that dream as well. This year I have been evolving, constantly pursuing my immediate dreams, and working on my long-term goals. I am taking every challenge and experience as a blessing to make me a stronger and a wiser person.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Lived in Orlando for the past 18 years and serving Central Florida and Greater Orlando areas, bilingual in English and Spanish, I have been in the Florida Real Estate business since 2019, representing buyers and sellers. I have actively taken continuing education, designation, and certification to expand my knowledge and build a strong foundation for my new and exciting career in the real estate industry. As a result, I have been certified as a Short Sale and Foreclosure Resource (SFR®), also certified in At Home with Diversity® (AHWD), and Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS). I value relationships over transactions, and I am fully committed to educating, mentoring, and honored to guide my clients on each step of their home buying or selling process. I am passionate about helping people and learning new cultures; it motivates me to continue educating and furthering my knowledge. I feel honored to be part of people’s lives and trust.
Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
One of my favorite quotes about risk-taking is Oprah Winfrey “one of life’s greatest risks is never daring to risk.” I believe risks are opportunities waiting to be revealed; everyone has a purpose in life, and we owe ourselves to find what really motivates us and what truly makes us happy and whole. One of the significant risks I’ve taken in my life was leaving my country and family behind to pursue the American dream. Yet, I knew I had a purpose at a young age and wanted to reach for what I had a vision in life, prosperity, and opportunities.
