Today we’d like to introduce you to Passion Clark
Hi Passion, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I began my journey in makeup artistry in 2017 after having my son. Becoming a mother inspired me to be the best version of myself, and makeup quickly became a creative outlet for me. I had always loved makeup, but I didn’t truly know how to apply it professionally. In my spare time, I immersed myself in studying techniques from renowned makeup artists like B. Marie and Tailor Made Jane. Their artistry and expertise laid the foundation for so many in the industry, including myself. Through their YouTube tutorials, I learned and refined my skills, applying those techniques to my own routine.
As I started perfecting my craft, family and friends would often ask, “Who did your makeup?” When I told them I did it myself, they encouraged me to do theirs as well. What began as a passion quickly turned into something more. I loved seeing the confidence and joy makeup brought to others, so I started practicing on them—and soon, I realized I had a gift. With their encouragement, I began sharing my work on Facebook and Instagram, and from there, my business took off.
In 2019, I officially launched my makeup business, working out of Truth Hair Bar in Winter Garden, FL, which remains my primary location today. Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to achieve incredible milestones, including booking my first international wedding in Jamaica in 2021—a major turning point in my career. Since then, I’ve done another wedding in Jamaica and even had the honor of partnering with Essence magazine.
Being a makeup artist is more than just a profession for me—it’s a deeply rewarding experience. I love what I do, meeting new people, and witnessing the transformation and confidence that comes with every session. As women, we go through so much, and if I can be a source of joy, confidence, or even just a listening ear, that’s the least I can do.
Looking ahead, my goal is to expand my impact by working with programs dedicated to cancer patients—helping them feel whole and beautiful as they navigate their journey. Makeup is more than just artistry; it’s a way to uplift and empower, and I’m grateful to be part of that experience.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
As a business owner in general, you will have some struggles and one of mine was conquering money management. You will have some slow days and you will have some busy days, so money management is important.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m A professional Makeup Artist, I specialize in fashion makeup for modeling shoots, special events makeup for weddings and other occasions.
What sets me apart as a makeup artist is my ability to create an experience that goes beyond just applying makeup. My journey started from a place of passion and self-transformation, which allows me to connect deeply with my clients. I believe makeup is not just about enhancing beauty—it’s about boosting confidence, uplifting spirits, and making every person feel their absolute best.
How do you think about luck?
I don’t see it as being lucky, I was truly blessed with this gift. And if anyone had to be recognized it’ll be God! I thank him for this gift!
