Hi Raquel, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Since the tender age of 13, I have been absolutely obsessed with all things skin and body care. Even back in middle school, I knew deep in my heart that I was meant to pursue a career in aesthetics and skincare. I always envisioned myself making others feel radiant, beautiful, and confident in their own skin. 🌟
However, life had a different plan for me — at least for a while. In December 1999, at just 19 years old, I embraced a new and beautiful role: becoming a mother for the first time. 💖 While it brought incredible joy, it also meant that I had to place my dreams of becoming a solo beauty business entrepreneur on hold.
Over the years, I worked in various jobs, gaining experiences and life lessons along the way. Yet, my passion for skincare never left me — it lived in my heart, waiting patiently.
I am a firm believer that The Universe has a divine way of realigning you with the people, places, and opportunities that are meant for your soul’s purpose. Every twist, every turn brought me back to where I was always meant to be — serving, healing, and empowering others through the art and energy of skincare.
Today, I am proud to stand fully in my purpose as the founder of The SkinErgist, where I combine holistic care, advanced treatments, and energetic healing to support your skin and your spirit.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The most difficult challenge of all wasn’t just learning new skills or opening my business — it was facing the silent battles within.
When I made the decision to embark on this new chapter, I longed for unwavering support from those closest to me — especially my husband — but that support wasn’t there in the way I had hoped. 💔
I wrestled with deep doubts about whether I was “too late” to pursue my dreams, questioning if success in my late 30s was even possible after having to put my passion on hold for so long.
Adding to that was the fear of starting out as a home-based solo esthetician — the voice in my head constantly asking:
“Who will take me seriously?”
“Can I really build something meaningful from scratch?”
“What if I fail?”
The journey tested not just my skills, but my mindset, my courage, and my faith in myself.
But the beauty of transformation — just like with the skin — is that it often happens in the quiet, unseen moments. ✨
Through every fear, every doubt, and every tear, I chose to keep moving forward.
I chose to believe in my passion.
I chose to honor my calling.
I chose me.
