Hi Savannah, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I moved to Florida in 2019 to do the Disney College Program. I had always loved all things beauty, but was kept putting off beauty school since I thought college was the way to go. Once COVID hit, I realized life is too short to not be doing what I love. I graduated top of my class and immediately started working to protect my craft.
After 3 years of working for other people, I decided it was time to take the risk and bet on myself. That is when Skinn Savvy Aesthetics was born, in May 1st 2024 to be exact! With the support of my friends, family, amazing husband, and clients, it truly has been the best decision I have ever made!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
This Industry can definitely be cutthroat, and my first year in business (all while I was planning my own wedding) was very hard! But, I am extremely lucky to have a wonderful support system around me! Going from just an employee to the whole owner was shocking at times. Navigating all the admin stuff isn’t my favorite thing in the world, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
At Skinn Savvy Aesthetics, I offer a wide range of beauty services. All things skin, brows, and lashes! I do love brows and lashes, but my real passion is the skin. I specialize in treating acne! Helping others feel confident in their own skin, seeing the before and afters, all while helping people relax, THAT is my “why.”
The way I have set up my business is different to others because I do not do any upgrades. I hated having to upsell to people. So I designed my facials to be completely customizable. You booking the time (60 or 90 minutes), and then we work together to curate the best treatment for you based on your skin wants and needs. No price haggling, no “would you like to add this today for an extra $20?” I believe it alleviates stress from me and my clients! This goes for all services- my advanced treatments, brow services, and lash services are customized. (I even let you pick the music we listen to.)
I believe that being passionate about your work will always set you apart. I aim to create a comforting and welcoming space for everyone!
