Today we’d like to introduce you to Shauna Jackson.
Hi Shauna, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I am 38 years old. I have been working since I was 14. I was previously married for ten years and struggled to find myself afterwards. My kids and I were forced to move many time’s enduring financial challenges but always setting goals and moving forward. The year after my divorce I met my partner Chris. My partner and I are a blended family of seven. I have four kids from my previous marriage and he has one.
As an empath, I have always been drawn to heal and help people anywhere I can. Currently, I am a 5th-grade teacher and my partner is a graphic designer. Years ago, we decided that we wanted to build something for our children and the community to help raise the consciousness and awareness of plant-based living and overall health internally, externally, and spiritually. We built our company, Do It Vegan, as a brand that celebrates and encourages community growth and love while causing no harm to sentient beings. We believe that together we can rise higher than we would individually and hope to show that through our products and support. We have a homegrown CBD nursery that we use to infuse our organic body care products with as well as create a variety of resin art products.
Our family created our organic body care line seven years ago purely for at-home use as we have high sensitivity to most store-bought products. We began getting friends and family interested and loving the healing benefits of our creams and salts. Those were the first products we offered as a company. As we continued to meet the community and share our story, we noticed the amazing connection we all had with one another and began sharing our energy line of healing products. My father mines many stones out of Washington and Oregon and has sent them to our family for years before we felt it was time to share the energy. We then added our line of Crystal jewelry, smudging essentials, and free hug tees. Our most recent addition to our family is our orgonite and energy devices such as pyramids, charging trays, and jars. These devices encourage cleansing of their environment while supporting high frequencies and manifestation while protecting against harmful EMF radiation.
Our future dream for the business is to have a large indoor and outdoor space where we can invite individuals, artists, energy workers and healers with like-minded ideas to continue to share, grow and support the community around us.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
For our business, there were some struggles at the beginning as we launched the February before COVID began. Obviously, that stopped all market opportunities and community involvement. We decided to take that time to strengthen our energy and perfect our practice as best we could. Currently, we have challenges with balancing full-time employment and building our dream as we both have very demanding careers, but nothing makes us happier than building something for our family and community regardless of the sacrifices made at this time. We know in the end our intentions are strong and will manifest with time, love and persistence.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
We are known for many things. Currently, our most popular is our energy work and devices to cleanse your personal and environmental spaces. Our orgonite devices are very powerful and are tested using emf readers. Also, we are one of Florida’s only family-owned and operated small CBD nurseries that handle the entire process from start to finish. No machine processing at all. We use the entire plant. The leaves are used in our Roll trays and Ashtrays and are very popular as well. Our flower often gets sold out quickly due to our small size. We created an event called Resin & Roll, where we host classes in your home, guiding you through creating either a resin ashtray, coaster, or small orgonite.
Then we guide you through making a preroll using our CBD. We also host new home cleansing parties to help rid any negative energies and prepare your space full of your intentions and love. All workshops and parties include everything needed such as metals, crystals, dried leaves, etc. our face butter is our most popular of skincare line. At home, we use it for literally everything imaginable. It is shae butter and coconut oil-based along with vitamin E, frankincense, chamomile and lavender. All raw organic products that have eased eczema, acne, bug bites, scars, pregnancy stretch marks, rashes… it’s amazing!! We are very passionate about everything that we put out. Our family makes every product by hand in small batches with all the love. We play music for our plants, frequencies for our orgonite, and smudge often to ensure the energy is ready for creativity.
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
Flexibility and acceptance are the two most important lessons I’ve learned. You can plan as much as you want, but remember the universe may know a better plan that it will guide you to if you allow it. Accepting situations for what they are and allowing them to be and then choosing how to respond is a gift that is continuously practiced. Accepting does not mean that it is ok or you have to allow something negative to happen, accepting meaning that the situation at hand is fully seen and understood only then can you honestly feel what is intended for you and decide the best action or inaction to take.
