Hi Shelia, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started my business because of a layoff! My welding job laid me off and didn’t give me a return date so I turned to crafts something I’ve always been interested in!
From scratch I started making cups that was horrible but I took all criticism and continued to study. Late nights watching videos! Then started shirts and many other things. Today it comes easier !
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not smooth at all. I was clueless, I messed up ALOT. I was new to the area so I didn’t know many people so it was challenging getting sales ! But I stayed consistent and never gave up!
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Im a phlebotomist by day and crafter immediately after. I specialize in all crafts. I do a little of everything. I do more shirts than anything. I’m most proud of my line of communication to meet my customers needs! What sets me apart i feel is great customer service and open availability. I didn’t do a website because I find it easier to communicate and customize exactly what my customers need!
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
That business is business! I have to be stern and stand on the importance of my time is valuable.
