Today we’d like to introduce you to Theresa Krug.
Theresa, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
It was back in the summer of 2019 when quarantine started I was laid off from my job and like everyone else stuck at home. Social media was never my thing but after being stuck in the house 24/7 it quickly became my new hobby. I downloaded Tiktok and was immediately hooked by the short styled videos. I fell in love with all the music & at the time dance trends. Dance trends were the big thing back in 2019 which is what I started out by doing, even through I never danced a day in my life I gave it a try. It was honestly so much fun! was I perfect? Not at all! But it was something I looked forward to everyday. Although dancing was what’s hitting the FYP I wanted to try something different.
I wanted to do more lifestyle/vlog type of content but didn’t know what- that night I was shopping on Amazon when I came across an “ant farm” I couldn’t believe this was even a thing. Like, people actually voluntarily bring ants into their house? So I gave it a try,
Which is how my “ant updateee!” Series started I gained a tremendous amount of following a number I never pictured myself having- after posting my 1st “MY ANTS ARE FINALLY HERE” video I gained nearly 50k overnight I couldn’t believe it, it was so exciting and scary at the same time from here I continued to do my thing having fun and posting more videos from vlogs to trends to meeting my brother.
This is when I started another series “bug candy”. Where I would break open a candy with a bug inside and have everyone question whether or not it’s alive!? my account absolutely blew up from this series and again I couldn’t believe it- the 1st video gained 34 million views overnight It was such a crazy experience.
Since then, I’ve kept up with the trends and put my own style/twist on them.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
My mom always told me with every new chapter comes new challenges. Beginning social media I never thought there would be any obstacles since you’re creating a platform of your choosing. Throughout my year on Tiktok I haven’t encountered too many obstacles.
My biggest challenge I’ve faced so far would be with a brand. I love reviewing & sharing products send over by brands & individuals but after a brand send over some not so good products there was no way I was sharing it with my audience.

I create videos and post them on TikTok from lifestyle, to crazy bug videos, to owning an ant farm, to live-streaming theme parks. I’m most proud of the friends I’ve created through online people I would’ve never met if I didn’t download TikTok.I feel like I’m most known for my bug videos & theme park live streaming.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
Over the next couple of years, I plan on creating my own brand; t-shirts, slime, ant farms? I don’t know yet but something I’m passionate about. Also, YouTube here I come! I plan on connecting with my audience in a bigger way creating longer videos with a more in-depth view of my life.
