Hi Vanessa, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Our business started with an opportunity & a go-get-it attitude. My husband & I wanted to be our own bosses 1 day & never saw ourselves being crystal shop owners. We had many people tell us it was a bad idea but we felt something different. God literally set us up with the right people at the right time, and it excelled us into a business fueled by our Love of God & people. Within several months we moved closer to the market, and then within a year, we had the upgrade we needed. The beauty of celebrating a year since our shop’s expansion alone was an accomplishment. The connections and love we receive from our crystal vendors are passed down to our Amazing Customers. If we don’t vibe with you, we won’t buy from you. Which means quality crystals with amazing prices. Every price we offer is hand-picked with quality in mind. If we love it, our customers will love it too. It’s all about the energy you radiate. In the Spiritual aspect of crystals, energy is what calls you to 1 crystal more than another. When people come into our shop, we want them to feel that Love & Positive Energy. We have positive music playing, art on our walls & jasmine in our diffuser. Setting the mood for all your senses. God blessed us with the opportunity & we went with it.
The knowledge gained & lessons learned have created new experiences & evolved into something on its own. This became God’s way of utilizing us to speak words of encouragement & share His knowledge. The foundation of Tierra Bella Gallery was for the purpose of supporting our community services. Our Amazing, Love & Positive Vibing Crystal shop brought life to the Non-Profit B.R.A.N.C.H. Inc. Within our Non-profit, we teach others how to live their best lives. We strive in giving back through our park & Beach Clean Ups, our Consciousness meetings & encouragement text msg group. Tierra Bella Gallery lives by the meaning of its name. Spanish: Beautiful Earth. The name was given to me while brainstorming in its commandment. It represents the beautiful crystals, rocks, fossils created by God & also all the beautiful people in it. Our business & life philosophy is to Live a Positive Life while simultaneously encouraging others to do the same. The idea that this business itself also transformed me may be cliche, yet I am a living witness of living a life Blessed by God.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Smooth?… Well, smooth in some & others not. Throughout the business journey, my personal life made it difficult. The business started after we came out of homelessness. Those are what you call an unexpected life turn. Prior to the commencement of the business my husband & I ended up homeless living in motels for 9 months. Our struggle of that alone pushed us into the proper mindset needed to thrive in this business. We used that experience to motivate us to go beyond our comfort zone for the purpose of becoming & boating greater. It has had its challenges, but I don’t regret any part of it. In the beginning, was the part of learning how to run an actual business in the first place. We continued to learn more about our crystals & it only fed our passion. We unintentionally became people’s go-to when they need help to identify rocks/stones. It’s a humbling experience because they value our opinion. I’m not going to say we know everything, but we do take the time to research what we have in our shop.

My work is People. How we speak to our customers, the community services we provide, and the time we take out for others is what makes me, me. I grew up with a passion for helping others. I went to school as a paramedic, but God wanted me somewhere else. I specialize in God’s work. I encourage others, give them the advice to be happier & simply spread more love & positive energy into the world. I’m known to be a realist. I’m very forward and speak honestly but always with good intentions behind them. My life trials & tribulations are the evidence to show that everyone has it in them. We are all created with the Powers & tools to create the reality we need. In order to do that, we must first be willing to admit what we know or understand is wrong. It takes a lot of accountability, and people have a hard time facing their own contributions to those unpleasant parts of life. That’s where I come to it, at least I believe. What feeds my soul is being part of another’s awakening to their value in this world.
What I’m most proud of is… After all the trials & tribulations I went through, some almost taking my life, I still kept going. I still held onto my faith in God and still continued to love & uplift others.
What do you think about happiness?
Happiness is more than material, place, or position. Happiness is a state of mind. My happiness is within. I’m happy because every day I awaken. I have a place to sleep, basic needs & an opportunity of helping others to do the same. What makes me happy is seeing someone smile after I helped them. What makes me happy is having my bestie all the time, also known as my husband. I’m happy my children have life & that I can confidently live with a smile on my face not regretting any tear, struggle, laugh, or celebration. I’m simply happy because God gave me permission to wake up & do it again.
