Life & Work with Victasia Parker

Today we’d like to introduce you to Victasia Parker.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My story began where I believe many great stories will also start. March 2020 when the pandemic hit, it made me realize that nothing is ever really guaranteed so I might as well be in pursuit of my own definition of happiness. I graduated from Florida A&M University in Fall of 2019 with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies focused on Humanities and Education so I let that naturally lead the way to creating YouTube content to educate people about spirituality and mental health.

The people responded well and wanted individual interactions, so I created plans, took the steps, and eventually launched my website, thegoddessoftheunknown.com where I provide spiritual advice for anyone that decides to work with me.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I cannot complain much about the process. The bumps in the road relate most to logistics and understanding how to legitimize my business as it grows. I love the new opportunity for learning so even when the process may be frustrating, I am patient and sure to go with the flow.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
My work allows for creative freedom and people have expressed interest in my many different interests. I am known for creating spiritual content on YouTube, painting, making music, and fashion.

I am proud of my growth in all areas but definitely my music. It’s changing my life and allowing me to change others who choose to experience the world with my music playing in their ears.

I think what sets me apart from others is that I genuinely am not afraid to be myself even if it puts me at risk of being misunderstood.

Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
My only advice when starting out is to follow through with all of the ideas you can’t seem to forget about. Write everything down because if it’s not meant to be pursued in the moment, it will pop up again in divine timing. Above all, focus on yourself and your reason for creating. Creation is about you and your divine source that I refer to as God. Don’t make it about anything else. Just you and God and you’ll bless the world.

This requires vulnerability and a lot of inner work to feel comfortable enough to be seen in your truest form.
