Today we’d like to introduce you to Ysabel Saavedra.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Hi! I’m Ysabel and this is my history and what i do. I am a mom of two beautiful girls and a wife immigrant from Venezuela, is always a challenge start in a new country, but that never stoped me because I always knew that outside there is a place for anyone. I started my brand Muy Charm on July 7 2021, four months after to have my second baby girl Sara and in pandemic. Is a brand who show how to elevate your looks starting on your shoes. I do shoelace charms and beautiful accessories for little girls, teens and moms to! My signature piece are the shoelace chains gummy bears, they are so fun and cute that everyone want on the shoes, you can mix and match crystal, candy and small charms to complete your look. This journey showed me that you can’t never stop follow your dreams and my older girl Sofía pushed me to open my eyes and don’t be afraid of new beginnings! She is my biggest fan. Today i have multiple reasons to be happy, I’m doing what i love, i have new friends and people who help me every day to grow in this business.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Every day is a new day, i do my work when my baby is sleeping and my older girl is at school. Every piece is handmade with so much love and some times tears because i have a family and a home to care of. My customers only see the sparkles that i show in my Instagram page, and is amazing when they post a picture of my work, and now I realize that they have a piece of me in every charm!
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I studied advertising and marketing in Venezuela. Creativity has always been part of me. I had a brand in my country and I never thought I could do it in a different place. In my pieces you have an original brand that grows every day.
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
My biggest lesson along this fourth months with my brand is that my family love me, my husband helps me every day to grow in my business. Be myself and be constan showed me that i can be successful, and the most important thing is listen the customers, because we have to know what they want and need.
