Today we’d like to introduce you to Aida Barroso.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
You can add more to this if you need to but this is off my website: Meet Aida Barroso, a graphic designer & photographer originally from Cape Cod, MA who now lives in Central, FL!
She has been doing graphic design since 2005 when she was first introduced to it and continued to study it throughout her high school career. Her passion for graphic design is strong and she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design & Digital Media with a concentration in print. Her favorite projects involve branding, logos, T-shirts, stickers, and anything print-related.
She picked up a camera in 2008 and quickly found she had a passion for photography as well. Her graphic design knowledge combined with her great eye for composition makes her a skilled photographer. Plus, she isn’t afraid of using Photoshop to edit your photos and deliver a stunning gallery. She specializes in family & couple sessions, headshots & branding photography, boudoir, as well as elopements and weddings.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not, honestly coming to Florida and trying to build a whole network has been the biggest struggle for me. And already trying to grow a small business in a “saturated and not necessary” niche it has been hard. Not having many friends and no family locally here to support you is tough as well. Being an adult starting new friendships and trying to network outside your comfort is also hard. But it has its adventures and lessons
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a graphic designer and photographer.
I do all sessions and I feel like I don’t just have one style, I have many. I also know how to edit beyond certain basic skills because of my graphic design background.
I am proud that I left my stable job to pursue a career that makes me happy but also captures moments.
I think what sets me apart is I have a background in designing and I can bring that into images

What matters most to you? Why?
In my career? My clients are happy and know I am capturing moments they can relive when they look back at them.
In my life? My 2 cats, my husband, and my family and friends
