Today we’d like to introduce you to Akram Mathin.
Hi Akram, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
When I graduated from UCF in 2014 with my Bachelors in Psychology, I was not sure which career path I would follow. I was always entranced with the idea of owning my own business, and watching my father Abdul Mathin, do great things as an entrepreneur. After graduating, I worked alongside him in his Businesses helping him manage his real estate portfolio and working on various real estate development projects. The turning point for me was in the Summer of 2016, when I had issues with my personal Mercedes. Another shop had done some upgrades, which ended up in significant damages to my car. I was unable to find another Mercedes specialist who would work with performance parts. It was at this time where my inner car enthusiast and business mind flipped a switch, and I decided that I needed to step up and open a European Automotive shop. After seeing success in the first few years, I was motivated to pursue my MBA, applying to Rollins Crummer Graduate School of Business for a Professional MBA, which I completed in December 2021.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
When I first began the steps to start this business, everyone around me had told me that starting a new business is not easy and that it can take between 3-5 years, if not longer, to get established. Knowing that many new businesses fail in the first year, I was steadfast in making sure I took all the right steps along the way. Struggles were always present, such as financial responsibilities, especially taking care of debt, all while making sure there is no sacrifice in the level of quality we provide for our customers. We also recently celebrated our 5 Year Anniversary which was a major milestone for us!

Eurocharged Orlando Is an Independently Owned and Operated Franchise of Eurocharged Performance Based Out of Houston, Texas. Eurocharged Orlando Opened Its Doors In 2016 To Offer Performance Work, Tuning and Servicing on Vehicles for Car Enthusiasts in And Around Central Florida.
We Offer a multitude off services starting from Basic Oil Changes and repair work, performance enhancements such as tuning and performance parts, all the way to Full Race Motor Builds. We Specialize in European And Exotic Vehicles. We have an in-house Dynojet, a machine that is used to test and tune vehicles.
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
The automotive industry in the next 5-10 years will be interesting. With most European Automakers planning to go full electric by 2030, we can’t say for sure what the future holds. However, true enthusiasts will always hold on to their Internal Combustion Engine vehicles and we will eventually become one of those “hot-rod” style shops that will service and upgrade these vehicles for many years to come. We also expect to incorporate working on electric vehicles for enhancements, as we have already worked on a few Teslas and other vehicles installing cosmetic modifications as well as performance items such as lowering springs and racing brakes. There is definitely excitement to see what we can do with these new electric vehicles coming out, as well as the new generations of car enthusiasts. In the future we plan to hold more events and car meets, and keep building the car community in Central Florida.
