Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexis Bress.
Hi Alexis, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Real estate has always been part of my story. I grew up in a real estate family—my grandfather has been an agent in New York for over 60 years, my mom’s a broker, and my brother is a broker here in Florida. I was surrounded by the business early on, but I knew I didn’t just want to follow the path—I wanted to build something of my own.
I got licensed at the end of 2020, during a time when the world felt uncertain. I didn’t have a backup plan, I just went all in. I didn’t come from a big sphere or have polished marketing out of the gate. I relied on consistency, relationships, and work ethic. I showed up every single day, followed up with every lead, and did everything I could to create an exceptional experience for every client.
Over the past few years, I’ve closed over $60+ million in sales, earned recognition like Real Producers 35 Under 35 and the 20 Under 40 YPN award, and now sit in the top 1% of agents in Central Florida. I serve on the Orlando Regional Realtor Association YPN board, speak on industry panels, and stay active in the community I live in and love. More than half of my business comes from referrals and repeat clients, which I’m incredibly grateful for—it’s a reflection of the trust others have placed in me and the effort I put into every relationship.
Now, I’m expanding by launching a team focused on innovation, personalized service, and helping agents grow their own strengths. My journey hasn’t been easy or linear, but every step taught me to trust, stay consistent, and lead with value and confidence. That’s what continues to drive me every day.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The journey has been full of growth, learning curves, and pivotal moments that have shaped who I am as a business owner. One of the biggest hurdles has been learning how to grow without losing what makes my business special. As things scaled, I had to build out systems, set clear boundaries, and start delegating—without compromising the personal, high-touch service I’m known for. That shift forced me to start thinking like a business owner, not just an agent, and it’s been a major turning point in my evolution.
Another challenge was balancing the client-facing side of the business with everything happening behind the scenes—marketing, operations, finances, and long-term planning. In the beginning, I wore every hat, and it took time to find the right support and streamline processes. But doing so has made my business more efficient, more scalable, and ultimately more impactful for the people I serve.
Every step—especially the tough ones—has helped me build something that’s not just successful, but intentional, sustainable, and truly aligned with the way I want to work and lead.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about The Lex Group – Real Estate Team with eXp Realty?
I’m a real estate agent and team leader based in Central Florida, specializing in residential sales across Windermere, Dr. Phillips, Winter Garden, and the surrounding areas. My business is built on relationships, innovation, and a client-first approach. I work with buyers, sellers, and investors, but I’m especially known for creating seamless, high-level experiences that feel personalized and professional at every step.
What sets my brand apart is a strong mix of strategy, service, and genuine care. I’ve built a process that feels organized and intentional—backed by data, systems, and proven marketing—but always tailored to the individual. Whether someone is buying their first home or selling a luxury property, I meet them where they are and guide them with clarity and confidence.
I also pour the same energy into developing agents. We have built a team around empowering each person’s strengths while upholding the same standard of service that our brand is known for. I’m proud of the trust we’ve earned in the community, and that so much of our business comes from referrals and long-term relationships. At the core, our brand is about being the person people trust—before, during, and long after the transaction.
Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
My best advice for finding a mentor or expanding your network is to be intentional about putting yourself in the right rooms. I made it a priority early on to attend networking events throughout Orlando—not just in real estate, but across different industries. Showing up consistently helped me build meaningful professional connections and grow my presence within the community.
Conferences have also played a big role in my growth. Being in rooms where leaders are sharing what’s working for them—especially those operating at a high level—has been invaluable. I always come with a mindset of learning, but I also take it a step further by asking questions, following up, and building real relationships with the people I meet. Some of those moments have turned into mentorships or long-term collaborations.
The key is to be proactive, open, and willing to engage. Every event, panel, or conversation is an opportunity—not just to take in knowledge, but to show up, add value, and create long-lasting connections that can shape your business and mindset.
