Meet Alina Ana Marin

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alina Ana Marin.

Alina Ana, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
“Macaron Boutique started as a home-based business by a Romanian pastry chef. When I came to the USA, I wanted to bring some of the European touch in my desserts, that I was so passionate about since I was a little girl. Today, I strive to spread the love of my desserts all over Central Florida and in the future National wide. My perfectly baked MACARONS delivered directly to your table by ordering Online at www.macaronboutique.com or by DM on Instagram, Facebook, text message. Mastering the beautiful creations such as Strawberry Tower, Macaron Towers, Cakes & more for your special day.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Of course, it wasn’t a smooth road, there never is. When I started the business, it was hard to make myself known as new baker in town, knowing my competitors, prices. Also I have a toddler, so it’s like working twice as much. During the pandemic, it was my best moment to sell by starting promotions with cake and macarons and free delivery and that helped a lot of people who was struggling with their income. We still are in that bumpy road, but I hope next year I’ll open my own bakery specializing in macarons, cakes & more.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’ve study at ISMM Pastry School in Colombia, where I lived for eight years. I got married with a Colombian guy and together we have two boys. There I had the opportunity to learn a new language, their culture, their food and what I love the most Coffee. I speak four languages, I’m proud of that 😆 I specialize in Cake design, Macarons, Macaron Towers, Strawberry Towers & more. Most of my cakes are made with buttercream and natural flowers because I love flowers. I’m very passionate and very into details when it comes to create cakes. I’m a perfectionist and if I have to work double of time to have the perfect cake, I’ll do it.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
Practice makes perfect. After a long time of practicing, our work will become natural, skillful. Never give up because dreams do comes true if you really work hard for what you love.
