Today we’d like to introduce you to Alyssa Goss
Hi Alyssa, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Stellar Wicks began with my love of candles and the desire to create a quality and custom product. With the support and encouragement of family and friends, who were kind critics of my early experiments, Stellar Wicks was born. I launched Stellar Wicks in 2020, spending about a year and a half testing various waxes, oils, and wicks before selling my first line of tins and clear glass vessels. Over the years I have utilized feedback and client preferences to guide my business. Custom work is a large portion of my work. Stellar Wicks can fill any suitable type vessel and add private labeling for special occasions, which I love to do. Stellar Wicks carries a variety of price points, vessels, and scents to meet the needs of all clients. We also have wax melts and reed diffusers.
I love finding beautiful and creative vessels to illuminate my clients’ homes. Recently, I have collaborated with another small business, Plantifiery, making centerpieces featuring both of our products. The friendships and connections made in this journey are treasured, too.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
My biggest challenge right now is growth. I am on the verge of expanding my business and will need to make some major changes in the process. I am by trade an educator, and the learning curve in the business world is profound, but I am enjoying the challenge.
What are your plans for the future?
Stellar Wicks plans to add featured lines of candles, extra large vessels, and room/linen sprays to our offerings. I would also like to include candle tools, candle warmers, and other candle accessories and home products,
