Hi Amanda, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I attended hair school in 2017 and began working in a salon by 2019. Like many in the industry, my journey took an unexpected turn in 2020 when COVID-19 hit, leaving me out of work for nearly six months. During that time, I made a pivotal decision—to invest in myself and turn my long-term goal of business ownership into reality.
I used that period to research, plan, and gather the resources needed to open my own salon suite. I spent my first year sharing a suite with a close friend, which allowed me to grow both creatively and professionally, before stepping out on my own the following year.
I truly love what I do. I have the privilege of working with people I care about every day, helping them feel confident, beautiful, and their very best—and that makes every step of the journey worth it.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Building my clientele has been challenging — but incredibly rewarding. There is nothing more fulfilling than creating my own schedule, being my own boss, and focusing entirely on my clients’ needs.

I love creating natural lived in colors. I specialize in brunettes, blondes, and vivids.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
Over the next 5–10 years, I see the beauty and hairstyling industry continuing to evolve in exciting ways.
Sustainability & clean beauty are rising trends that I believe will only gain momentum. Clients are becoming more conscious of the products they use—favoring eco-friendly, cruelty-free, and health-focused options—which pushes stylists to stay informed and selective about their product choices.
