Meet Ana Paula Ford

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ana Paula Ford.  

Hi Ana, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I born and raised in southern Brazil, German, and Italian Portuguese background, my father a businessman and mom a teacher. I grew up around aesthetics, where I was always interested in beauty and fashion. Got involved with modeling since was 13 when was discovered by photographer that worked for Ford Models. went to school for public relations but didn’t finish and moved to the USA to pursue my modeling and go to college, end up going to Beauty School where I found myself very happy helping people feel their best., I became an Esthetician and started to work in Hollywood CA back in 2011, where I spend many years perfecting my craft and learning from some of the best in the industry, never stop learning and my hard work pay off I continue to travel and moved to New York / Philadelphia area and started to work for Rescue Spa some of the most famous spas, there I had the pleasure to be trained by Danuta Meiloch and some of her high demand Estheticians, I learn about Biologiques Recherche ( the cult company famous for their P50 chemical exfoliant) it was like following in love again with skincare and my career, there I also discover Valmont the incredible luxurious Swiss line and of course The “holy grail” of Anti-aging skin care MBR cosmetics. 

After covid I made a move to Florida and was invited to work for Biologiques Recherche Ambassade in Palm Beach., was able to be trained by the French/Hungarians and learn other techniques and perfected even more my skills. I became quickly known and had celebrities coming to me. After a while, we became a multi-brand and started to carry Valmont and MBR cosmetics and we work also with Raja medical oxylight (celebrity famous facial). 

Today I work as a trainer for the medical skincare company MBR which stands for Medical Beauty Research, created by some of the best Aesthetic physicians, Plastic surgeons, dermatologists, and estheticians defining the new path for high-end skincare and incredible Anti-aging results. 

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I would say the most difficult part of my career was when covid hit because were lockdown and not able to work for almost a year. that took a toll on me, but I always learn from my family that even on the hardest time. You pick yourself up and reinvented yourself, you have to believe in yourself and keep on going and tracing your path. You are the Auteur of your own story, so listen to your gut, follow your heart and keep your head high, the universe is in continuous movement, and energy is always flowing, all we need to do is canalize it into the right direction, and don’t forget to follow your dreams… 

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
What I love the most about my job is to be able to teach and educate about the products and skincare. Most proud about my licenses, I have an Esthetician license in CA, NY, PA, FL and also hold a title with NCEA (National Coalision of estheticians – highest voluntary credential in the United States. You must pass every 2 years. 

My specialty is facials and teaching everything skincare and Beauty. 

I believe what sets me apart is my energy and my enthusiasm about life and how I love to take care of people, it comes from the heart. 

What do you like and dislike about the city?
I love Los Angeles for its sunshine and wonderful people., but I can say the weather can be a bit dry at times. 

I love Florida too for its weather but on the summer gets too hot and the water, not the best, at least I feel it on my hair. 

I like NY nightlife and fashion/beauty industry but I feel the air is sort of polluted at times and is kind of damaging to the skin and body.
