Hi Andromeda, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
My journey to where I am today began with a desire to find my purpose in this world. After years of earning degrees and working jobs that never seemed to fulfill me, I set out on a mission to figure out what would. After taking time to reflect on the skills that come naturally to me and the moments when I feel most happy and at peace, I determined that I am a gifted writer and motivator, and my purpose is to empower women with my words.
So, I started a blog that led me to become a life coach, author, and founder of a social wellness-centered organization that supports women to create a healthy lifestyle by teaching them effective ways to attract and cultivate meaningful relationships, practice self-care, and develop a winning belief system so they can have the connections, capacity, and confidence needed to achieve goals, fulfill a purpose, and make positive generational impact.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
This road has been far from smooth, but I recognize the value in the struggles. They made me stronger, wiser, more faithful, and more resilient. I have experienced just about every struggle you can think of. Financial, physical, and relational to name a few.
There were seasons when I had no idea if I would be able to keep the doors open due to limited financial resources. My health suffered as a result of neglecting myself because I was putting all my time and energy into growing my business. And I lost some people as I continued to grow beyond my comfort zone and set higher standards for myself.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am most proud of all the positivity I have put out into the world over the last 9 years. As a writer, creative, and visionary, I have shared thousands of motivational, inspirational, and empowering messages across social media and through blogging, podcast interviews, speaking engagements, books, magazines, events, retreats, and more. My specialty is uplifting, empowering, and connecting women, and I am known for that.
I am known for creating opportunities that show women from all walks of life that their authentic self is worthy and valuable. I am most proud of the impact that I have made and I can say for certain that my presence and gifts have enriched the lives of thousands. What sets me apart is my commitment to encouraging the underestimated and rejected, and uniting women for the greater good of our families and communities.
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I don’t think that luck has played a role in my life and business. I think that everything I’ve ever experienced in life was either a result of my choices or part of God’s plan for me.
When I think of some of my greatest accomplishments and failures, I can see how the connections I made, the prayers I prayed, and the work that I put in brought me to those opportunities. I can also see how the failures I experienced taught me valuable lessons and moved me closer to my purpose.
