Today we’d like to introduce you to Angie Kantor.
Hi Angie, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I have been entertaining for over 15 years and truly LOVE it. As a former Broadway star and a mother of 3, I needed a creative outlet and realized that creating my Tablescapes did just that. When the pandemic hit and with LOTS of time on my hands, I kept hearing what people would say to me when I entertained: “How do you do this? Where do you get your ideas from? Where do you find these pieces? I could NEVER do this!” That’s when I realized if I created something for everyone, all they would have to do is execute and they would still come out like a rockstar having accomplished a gorgeous Tablescape for their guests. That is when Angie’s Tables was created. I design and curate beautiful Tablescapes that they get to keep in a beautiful black magnetic box. I’ve had the company for 2 years and she’s evolving and transforming, which is scary but also exciting. I LOVE what I do and working with people is a truly is joy for me.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
This has definitely NOT been an easy road. I am learning the e-commerce space as I go along and also with today’s technology continuously changing, I am trying to learn and adapt quickly. With some help from my social media manager, I run this company all by myself. Which I love because I can work at all hours of the day and night, but that is also challenging because it is JUST me and I have so many ideas and desires for my company that it just takes a little longer to get to where I want to be. BUT that being said, I keep telling myself to be patient, always lead with my heart and keep creating in hopes that my bigger goals will one day appear in front of me. The other challenge is that I am trying to bring back the joy and fun of dinner parties and really want to reach EVERYONE! I still believe in the concept, and I am not giving up, but it certainly has me thinking of other ways to get into people’s homes and to help them to created beautiful Tablescapes.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am and will always be an artist first. Creating Angie’s Tables has not been done in the USA and I am really proud of taking this risk and chance in doing so. My designs are very modern, clean, and classy where you do not have to break your bank to have such beautiful designs in your home. What separates me from others is that I am unique as I am somewhat your very own Party Planner or Designer that isn’t in your way but who has given you everything you need to be successful to hosting your very own Dinner Party.
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
I am extremely organized, and I am great with people. I have great passion and love in designing and creating beautiful and sophisticated Tablescapes for people. I have many clients who have reached out again and again after working with me because I have helped them in so many ways.
