Hi Anne, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
This business began when two passionate and talented hairstylists met while working at a blowout bar. We instantly connected over our shared love for our craft. One day, Cassandra approached me with the idea of sharing a suite. At the time, I hadn’t considered it, since I was focused on being a mobile artist.
But the thought of having a physical space, a place where future brides could come for hair prep, and where I could expand my services, really stuck with me. After some thought, I said yes to the opportunity. We found the perfect suite, brought our vision to life, and the rest is history.
What started as a simple conversation has grown into a beautiful space dedicated to healthy hair care, bridal styling, and creativity.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road definitely hasn’t been smooth. In the beginning, one of the biggest challenges was building a consistent clientele while balancing life as a single mom. There were times I questioned whether I had made the right decision stepping into entrepreneurship full-time.
When Cassandra and I decided to partner and open a suite together, it was exciting,but it also came with new challenges. Learning how to run a physical space, set clear boundaries, and manage responsibilities as a team was a growth moment for both of us.
On top of that, figuring out the business side, like pricing, contracts, policies, and managing destination weddings, was a lot of trial and error. But every step, even the hard ones, helped shape us into better businesswomen. I’m proud of how far we’ve come and how we continue to grow, both individually and as partners.

The Beauty Lab Studios is a luxury salon suite founded by two passionate hairstylists with a shared vision to elevate beauty experiences. Whether it’s preparing a bride for her big day or helping a client maintain the integrity of their natural hair, we are committed to quality, creativity, and care.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
Growing up, I was always a creative child. I was drawn to the arts, whether it was painting, music, or anything hands-on. For me, hairstyling became my favorite form of art, something that allowed me to express myself while making others feel beautiful.
Cassandra was also naturally creative and had a strong passion for hair, especially the science behind how it grows, reacts, and transforms. Our shared curiosity and love for the craft helped shape the foundation of what we’ve built today.
