Hi Antonia, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I was born and raised in Germany but moved to the U.S. in 2017 for college and playing golf for the women’s team at the university. Four years later, I graduated from Florida International University with a BBA in International Business.
Shortly after, I started Cordée Cases, inspired by a need I noticed during my time in college. My friends would often lose their phones when we were out, and I realized there had to be a better way to carry your phone conveniently without compromising on fashion. That’s how Cordée Cases was born—a blend of style and practicality designed to keep phones secure while adding a layer of protection against theft and accidental drops. My goal has always been to offer a product that makes life easier while still looking great.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Starting a business right out of college was a huge learning curve for me. I was very determined, however I had no prior experience in product development or manufacturing – so figuring out how to bring my vision to life was challenging. Like any other startup, my business went through a lot of trial and error. From dealing with suppliers to getting your items cleared at the port, all the way up until packaging, shipping out the order and guaranteeing customer satisfaction – every step was a challenge at the beginning. The process wasn’t easy, but it’s been so worth it seeing the brand come to life and resonate with people.

I recommend first defining your goal – what is it that you try to achieve? Then leverage platforms like LinkedIn and attend industry relevant events or conferences to meet potential mentors and make new connections. I personally do not have a mentor but I am always on the lookout for interesting events to network and get to know other entrepreneurs.
