Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Chotai
Hi Ashley, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers.
We are a husband/wife-owned design firm and we love and have a passion for transforming homes! We started small just taking on a few small projects at a time. I was doing the designs but my husband would help me run the small business and be my handyman at installations! He had a full-time career as well so we would schedule design work around his schedule.
As the business grew, demands grew, and we came to a crossroads where we HAD to choose between Lex’s career or going big with interior design. We chose the latter and have NEVER looked back! Lex came on FULL time exactly two years ago! We stay very busy transforming homes on the space coast all the way to Winter Garden!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Growing is exciting but has a lot of pain points. Designing a home means buying a LOT of merchandise. Our full-service transformations include excellent customer care and also a “don’t lift a finger” promise to our clients. With that in mind, with their funds, we purchase all of the furniture and goods, receive them, inspect them, store them, and transport them to the client’s home for a singular install day so they have their “wow” moment!!
We regularly need more storage, more transport ability, more hands on deck, etc. We also are regularly adjusting our systems to handle bigger budgets, more moving parts, more merchandise, and all the detail that goes into keeping things organized and flowing smoothly as we work on dozens of projects.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Ambiance Viera is a residential interior design firm that offers both full-service full-home or single-space transformations as well as design consulting sessions for clients simply needing a designer eye to advise them on furniture placement, paint colors, lighting, etc.
We are known for the wide variety of design aesthetics we create! We listen intently to our clients to give them a home that feels not only well-designed but personal and completely custom! This alone sets us apart because of all of the unique spaces we create but it also highlights the excellent customer service and client relationships we value so highly!
We are so proud of our beautiful designs, our happy clients, and the efficient and seamless process we offer to those who work with us! We have such a love for what we do-we hope it shines through!!
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
Most people think our home is complete finished-but a designer’s home is never finished!! We are constantly updating or refreshing our own home!
As well, we purchased a home during the pandemic that needed fully remodeled and we still have about 25% of our projects left that we are tackling slowly but surely between all of our other design work!
