Hi Ashley, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started my lash journey during the time we all had to quarantine in the very beginning of COVID, I practiced in the spare bedroom of my home for hours and my closest friends trusted me to work on them, Sometime after I started working at a medspa which introduced me to so many things in the esthetic/beauty industry, it was then I knew I wanted to go to school to be an esthetician, during this time I was pregnant with my second child, I thought it was going to set me back but I pushed myself harder and graduated esthetics school as a facial specialist. Soon after I started building up my clientele and established my business as Aura Beauty Esthetics LLC, I am not only a mother and a business owner but also an educator, I host classes to certify and help others jumpstart their lash or body sculpting businesses
My goal is to make every single person feel confident and know that they too can follow their dreams.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Definitely hasn’t been an easy road, takes a lot of patience which I didn’t have at the beginning but because this is something I knew it wanted I never gave up. There are also people who will continue to put you or your business down so you have to learn to ignore the negativity. A lot of sleepless nights because you’re trying to create content or do your research.
Ultimately, I feel like the biggest obstacle I had to overcome is fear, it’ll destroy you, once I took my mindset out of my own comfort zone I flourished more, I saw myself overcoming challenges that I thought would be difficult.
When you go into a business sometimes you don’t think about the hard parts just the success but you have to feel every single step along the way because once you’ve been in a place of failure you never want to be there again. Pat yourself on the back, root for you because you are what’s holding you up.
