Hi Brandon, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Nerve damage in the Army derailed my original path, but it opened the door to film making. Creating videos while I recovered turned from a hobby into Phaeros Films, a Central Florida production company. I’ve spent the last decade directing result-driven commercials and brand stories for hundreds of brands.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Owning a video production business is like cutting a path through an Amazonian jungle. There is not a “road”. There’s not a guide book for this line of work, you make it up as you go and hope people take a chance on you. The biggest struggle has been the chicken and the egg conundrum. You can’t get some one to hire you to make a commercial until you have shot one, and you can’t shoot a commercial until some one hires you. Thus, working for free to get started in this industry is part of the game.

What I’m most proud of isn’t just the finished film—it’s the satisfaction of the clients who trust me with their brand. To me, a video is never just a ‘deliverable’; it is a representation of my reputation. Every project is a high-stakes opportunity to push my creative vision to the limit, blending meticulous attention to detail with the ingenuity to master cutting-edge techniques. If my name is on it, it has to be a masterpiece.
