Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Rendon.
Brittany, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My story as a creative starts when I was a kid. I always felt like a misfit. Never quite fit in anywhere. Raised by a single mom in NYC, I had to learn to be creative from a young age because we didn’t have much. I learned how to make the most of what I had – finding creative ways to have fun, entertain myself, and spruce up my style. My love for graphic design began when I got my first computer at 11 years old and discovered the icon that is….MYSPACE! All nighters were my norm. Everyone and their mom came to me to design their layouts. I knew at that moment that I had found something I truly loved.
When I went to college, I double majored in fashion merchandising and graphic design – which meant I was studying A LOT of marketing and I instantly fell in love. I call it the perfect harmony – using marketing knowledge to understand and connect with people’s deep needs, values and goals and supplying the solution through branding and design. I began freelancing in college and soon after, I established my branding and web design business helping purpose-driven entrepreneurs design businesses and lives they love. The journey to where I am today consisted of many trials and errors, tears, confusion, fear, and excitement and fun all the same. But I guess, that’s the beauty in it, right?
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My business journey has not been smooth by any means. It’s really hard to put into words, but I have always felt that I was fighting against this invisible force that was pushing against me. Like trying to swim against a current. Whether it was mental roadblocks, poor time management, jobs that sucked the life out of me, tech issues, trying to find the time and energy as a new mom..I mean, the list goes on. But the thing is, I never gave up & I never will. Because at the end of the day, I truly love what I do and believe I was created by the Creator, to create. That is what keeps me going when it gets tough.

I’m Brittany Jade, founder of Studio Genesis LLC – a boutique design studio offering branding and web design services for purpose-driven entrepreneurs who are ready to go from surviving to thriving. We breathe life into businesses by designing brands that are backed by strategy and are take-your-breath-away beautiful. With my background in fashion, photography, and marketing, I bring a well-rounded approach to my design projects that most people would have to go to multiple professionals for. But what I really hold nearest to my heart is the human connection. Because I genuinely love people and want to see them win, I build real connections with my clients, and take on their journey to success as if it were my own – and we start that journey by deep diving into what “success” really means to them. Not what society defines success as.
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I love that Orlando is a city with endless opportunities for fun and yummy food (big foodie here!) When you work hard, you need to balance that out with true fun and disconnecting. I love going to the theme parks on my free time, trying new cafes and restaurants, shopping, and perusing the shelves of local book stores. I do, however, miss living right next to the ocean and having mountains or skyscrapers to look up at.
