Today we’d like to introduce you to Camila D Arevalo.
Camila D, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I am Ecuadorian and I have been here in the United States for five years. A bit of my story is, I have always liked working out, although for many years I was not constant, it has always been in me.
When you start as usual, you want to go the fastest and easiest way, without thinking about consequences…
That led me to bulimia that I identified, I suffered and I healed myself in my loneliness.
A topic that I speak about for the first time today, so it may surprise many.
I have always liked food, an important factor of me is that I never forbidden meals, it is something that until the SUN of today does not go with me, but I really learned to eat better without limitations (that now I manage my subconscious, a subject that I will touch on after)
In 2016 I made the decision to leave my country. After the death of my grandmother, my mother, who raised me, I felt that I had nothing else to do in Ecuador.
In 2018 we moved from Miami to here, Houston, another very drastic change and that’s where I fell back on food, I didn’t control myself, I stopped taking care of myself, I fell into a very ugly depression plus the loneliness I felt and came to weigh 40 pounds. One day I remembered what I used to do when I was a kid, and since I was now alone, I decided to do it. Bulimia.
Thinking I had it under control, I spent almost a year.
Until I met my current partner, who without him knowing, influenced me a lot.
Imagine him being a bodybuilding competitor, physically he looks super strong and I was more insecure at first.
I saw what his lifestyle was like, I started to collect data, I started the same when I realized that we were going to the gym and I could not lift a weight because I fainted (that came from not having the strength because I vomited everything), well I started to understand the importance of food if he wanted to get to see me in a certain way.
Well, I improved my relationship with food, and thus without anyone knowing, I began to leave alone little by little the frequency that I vomited until it stopped completely.
My advice so far before getting into the importance of a conscious mind is;
The importance of the relationship with food is what will give you the strength to last a good workout, there are so many free online supplementation recipes for what you crave in a healthy way, there always is. In the same way, having a good relationship does not mean completely giving up what you like, but rather having a balance.
I had a very dysfunctional relationship with my mother since I moved here and at the end of 2020, I moved in with my partner, that is where I completely fall.
For a long time, I was victimized by the situations I had with my mother, for a long time I believed that our principles were simply not the same, when today I understand that life puts people like mirrors, to reflect your unhealed traumas, but there are moments when where we are not prepared to understand it, and so life happens and puts another mirror back on you now with another person, that is why many times we are touched by toxic patterns of people and / or problems that continue to confront us with something.
Which I am grateful for today, I reached another point where I began to victimize again, I began to introspect and understood that it was my wake-up call.
I began to study a lot about these topics that I don’t have enough time to explain each one here, but this is where I published my first video THE SELF-KNOWLEDGE, for me this is a key basis to start, there is no way to understand anything without first going through this slow knowledge process.
Just like when we meet someone for the first time and ask them their questions, from those general questions, you should ask yourself to the deepest.
Who are you? What does it represent to you? What colors do you like? What restaurants are your favorites? What do you do in your free time? What topics are you passionate about talking about?
Although it seems so common, there are things that we do not know. We focus so much on pleasing our partner, family that we forget the most essential person, yourself.
The power that gives us to know ourselves, the character that gives us to know who we are. That we do not accept.
And very unconsciously, as you work on yourself and take responsibility, your environment changes, and if the person you are with is the right one, the change will follow, as will attract people more aligned to that new you.
I began to take action in many dreams, I began to take my networks, my physique more seriously. And now, my networks have become another source of income.
It allowed me to start my career as a social media manager with several companies and generate several sources of income.
And that is why I feel that my mission of my channel and pages is to show that when we change internally, we change everything, externally. Everything begins to have clarity and life itself takes you to the right moments to the right people for that growth.
It is an endless road, but I began to enjoy it, and now I accompany thousands of people on their paths.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Definitely not, Leaving basically all my life in a country at 14 years old and starting a whole new life in a whole new country it was hard. By far, the hardest decision I have taken. In 2016, I made the decision to leave my country. After the death of my grandmother, my mother, who raised me, I felt that I had nothing else to do in Ecuador. I had to contact my birth mother and ask for help, she helped me to come and I started my life in Miami.
I had a very dysfunctional relationship with my mother since I moved here and at the end of 2020, I moved in with my partner, that is where I completely fall.
For a long time I was victimized by the situations I had with my mother, for a long time I believed that our principles were simply not the same, when today I understand that life puts people like mirrors, to reflect your unhealed traumas, but there are moments when where we are not prepared to understand it, and so life happens and puts another mirror back on you now with another person, that is why many times we are touched by toxic patterns of people and / or problems that continue to confront us with something.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
