Thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, how did you get started?
Each morning, when getting dressed for work, I’d struggle to zip up the back of my dress for work – it was a daily battle. I knew this was an issue for many women, and I thought, how does something like this not exist?! That led me to invent The Best Friend.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I’ve learned that success isn’t linear. Having worked in publishing for a lot of my career, I had a lot of great contacts to help get the word out. Real Simple picked us as one of their favorite holiday gifts, and we were featured in national publications like Travel and Leisure and Rachael Ray for the launch, which was incredible. We were also in the SAG Award gift bags, which was a pinch-me moment. We’re trying to expand into retail & scale, which has been a learning curve, and we’re getting a lot of traction around The Best Friend since it’s the 1st of its kind. Net net: I know we have an incredible product that solves a problem that affects millions of women each day & I’m ready for anything that comes my way.

Before The Best Friend, I worked in sales and held positions at Hearst, Conde Nast, and Time Inc. I worked on best-in-class brands like People and InStyle across print, digital, social, and events like The Golden Globes and The Emmys. I’m really proud that I actualized my dream of bringing The Best Friend to market. For years I’d struggle to zip up the back of my dress, and it’s thrilling to provide women with a solution to this everyday problem. I’m a really hard worker and am wildly passionate about the product, and I won’t stop until it’s a household name and every woman in America owns one.

People and the human experience make me happy. I’ve met many incredible people, and The Best Friend has opened many doors. I love having the opportunity to share the product with others and help people. The disability & senior communities have embraced the product, which makes me especially proud.
