Meet Christian Goldstein of Code: Lockdown

Today we’d like to introduce you to Christian Goldstein.

Christian, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started going to shows back in 2012 when a friend asked me to go to EDC Orlando. My friends brought me against my will, but I wouldn’t regret it for the world. The day I walked through those gates my life changed, I ended up falling in love with EDM! Since 2012, I became an artist and eventually started Code: Lockdown.

Code: Lockdown started back in March of 2020 when covid was terrifying and at possibly, its worst. Me and a few friends decided to host a livestream with the pandemic going on, and I started to notice that we started to pick up on views. I decided to make the whole idea into a company and started streaming monthly on Twitch with up-and-coming bass music artists and labels and created an online environment during the pandemic to help people listen to their favorite music from their favorite EDM artists, all from the comfort of their living rooms!

Since then, we’ve moved onto live events bringing in some of the biggest names in EDM and bass music, such as Stoned Level, Louiejayxx, GAWM, and so much more planned for the future!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
If I could say anything, I’d say nothing in the music industry ever comes easy. There’s been setbacks both on the livestreams and in live events, but we always work around the obstacles to bring people some of the best bass music events that we can! Our work speaks for itself.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Code: Lockdown?
We want to bring underground bass music the proper light it truly deserves. Both fans and artists both deserve an event where they can just be themselves and enjoy bass music to its fullest extent! I’m not just a promoter or a talent buyer, I’m also a fan too! I want our shows not just to be events, but a full musical experience that everyone can enjoy! I want to create powerful memories that last a lifetime!

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
I think in the next 5 to 10 years we could see a change in the entertainment industry. Artists are forever changing and evolving, and we’re always trying to keep up with the newest up-and-coming rising stars of bass music!
