Today we’d like to introduce you to Cindy Castillo

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My journey in the world of real estate
It began after a difficult time in my life, when I lost my job and found myself with the responsibility of caring for and providing for my young daughters. It was then that I decided that we should strive for a better future together, leaving behind the days of ordering from the McDonald’s menu for $1 and aspiring to travel the world. Throughout my career, I have faced various challenges and walked down uncertain paths, but I have always persevered with determination and passion. I am passionate about the world of real estate because there are no limits as to how much we can achieve, and being a channel of blessing for others is what drives me every day.

I took my first steps in this industry as an assistant to a colleague, where I learned and developed during my first 9 months earning $300 for each closing she made.

With time and my dedication, I reached the position of manager of an office with more than 80 agents under my responsibility. I have always had a deep desire to positively impact my colleagues, both in their business growth and personal development.
My commitment to the development of the industry led me to decide to be President of the CFL Association of Real Estate Professionals. In addition, I have had the opportunity to share my knowledge as a speaker in 4 countries: USA, Puerto Rico, Peru and the Dominican Republic, sharing the stage with experts such as Jurgen Klaric, Carlos Rentalo from Spain, Ana Seydi from Costa Rica, among others.

Through my work and my passion, I have impacted more than 2,000 colleagues in the real estate world, providing support and guidance in their careers.

In addition, I am proud to have been part of the growth of many Real Estate office owners, achieving that the recruitment of agents in one of the offices increased from 82 to 197 in just one year.

In recognition of my sales performance, I have been awarded multi-million dollar sales prizes for more than 7 consecutive years.

One of my most proud achievements is the creation of the “Top Million Producer” program, which has generated extraordinary results for the growth of agents, allowing them to even triple their monthly production.

As the author of my first book and Production Agenda, I have sought to share my knowledge and experience with those who wish to achieve success in the real estate world.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Looking back, the journey has been anything but easy. Starting without a job or money, while having to provide for my two little girls, was an overwhelming challenge that tested me in every possible way. There were days filled with uncertainty, where I didn’t know how I would put food on the table or keep a roof over our heads. Without guidance, I had to navigate everything on my own, making mistakes and learning from them along the way. But through the struggles, I discovered resilience, determination, and an inner strength I never knew I had. I learned the importance of perseverance, adaptability, and seeking opportunities even in the darkest moments. There were times I wanted to give up, but the love for my daughters kept me going. Each setback became a lesson, teaching me patience, financial responsibility, and the value of hard work. Looking back, I wouldn’t say it’s been smooth, but I can say that every hardship shaped me into the person I am today—stronger, wiser, and more capable than I ever thought possible.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?

What was your favorite childhood memory?
One of my favorite childhood memories was celebrating **Three Kings Day** in January, a beloved tradition in the Dominican Republic. It was a magical time filled with excitement and anticipation, almost like Christmas but with its own special charm. My brothers and I would wake up early in the morning, eager to see what surprises awaited us. Every year, we would receive a “kitchen full of toys,” and it felt like an endless treasure trove of fun. If my brothers asked for something adventurous, like a skateboard, I would ask for the exact same thing—I never wanted to be left behind! I was always eager to compete with them, whether it was racing our new skateboards or figuring out how to use a new toy. Those moments of playful rivalry, laughter, and pure joy created some of the best memories of my childhood. It wasn’t just about the gifts; it was about the bond we shared, the traditions we cherished, and the simple happiness that came from celebrating together as a family.
