Meet Colby Peters

Today we’d like to introduce you to Colby Peters.

Hi Colby, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
Without writing a novel, I co-founded my first original rock group in Southwest FL called Phoenix Falling in 2009. The band split different ways and formed several different projects (Galia Social, Dyna. LIV, CLOUDLESS). I played drums in all of the projects and one of those projects ended up landing a major management deal here in Orlando, FL.

The deal was sort of an on/off situation for the span of 5 years and somewhere in that time period each of the other projects really defined its vision and a 4th one even popped up into the mix called Eliot & the Evening Noose.

I LOVED each project and felt each one had something unique to offer the world and that was when I knew we needed a way to umbrella all of these projects.

So, a few friends and I started a “record label” called SouLe$$ Music pretty much as a joke. It was originally a way for me to send ONE link when someone would ask me what kind of creative projects, I’m working on instead of five different links.

But as the story would go, we evolved the concept, recorded a ton of music…

And here we are today, ready to bring our creative visions to the world! 🙂

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
My journey has been the absolute opposite of a “smooth road” but absolutely perfect and divinely aligned at the same time.

I had a vision to create something special and I believed in it from day 1. BUT not everyone else necessarily did. One of the projects, Galia Social, was gaining solid momentum and preparing to embark on a tour overseas and then the pandemic struck.

We hit a point where I felt if we didn’t find an investor, we would be stuck in front of a brick wall.

(But, as fate would have it, I made sure I was in alignment, meditated on a vision of where I wanted the future to go and made my own personal pact with the universe that if I became the investor of the vision, I would make sure to pay the blessing forward under universal law.

And as the saying goes, “the rest was history” …)

Watching colleagues “move forward” in life and get married, have families, careers, etc. while continuously “building a vision” many people didn’t even understand could be considered a struggle but deep in my soul I always knew this was the path for me and that if I kept pushing forward no matter how high the cards were stacked against me it would pay off in the long run. 🙂

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a music artist/creative director and I’ve had some underground success with various music projects but what I am most proud of is being the co-creator of SouLe$$ Music, which is a record label from an alternate universe. I feel that SouLe$$ music umbrellas EVERYTHING that I do from creative visions to storytelling, to musical recordings, and so on.

What sets me apart from others? I’ll leave that for you to decide after you experience some of my creations. 🙂

Are there any books, apps, podcasts, or blogs that help you do your best?
One resource that helps me do my best in life is a Facebook group called The 11:11 Movement. The 11:11 Movement is a group that aims to raise the collective vibration of humanity. <3 https://www.facebook.com/groups/510352039130164

Another resource that helps me to do my best in life is a man named Stephen Ambrose of Asius Technologies who I’ve had the honor of watching develop his latest invention (a multi-purpose listening device called the ADEL Drum Inflatable Bubble) behind the scenes step by step. Watching him overcome the odds to bring a VISION from his SOUL to the world has been nothing short of inspiring and has been a source of endless energy and encouragement for me to do the same. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F7FSPYsmJ9k&t=82s

Bradley Golden and Marcus Roberts of 2nd Sight Publishing have also been a source of inspiration in recent times. 2nd Sight Publishing is mostly known for producing Horror Comics and in the short time I’ve known these guys I’ve learned they will do WHATEVER. IT. TAKES. to overcome hardships, they are faced with and manifest the vision they believe in. This attitude produces the energy I LIVE for and encourages me to KEEP. ON. PUSHING. FORWARD! https://www.secondsightpublishing.com

Last but not least, I’ve been inspired by the dedication, resilience, and vision of a man named Robert Genito who developed a project called GENIUS. GENIUS is the first high-yield blockchain Certificate of Deposit designed to increase in price and preserve value. Watching the community build around this endeavor in real time has really reinforced the POWER of INTENTION and what can be accomplished when we put our minds TOGETHER. <3 https://www.geni.app

To summarize, the resources that help me to do my best in life are PEOPLE. 🙂
