Meet Cyanna Noteboom of Clermont Florida

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cyanna Noteboom.

Hi Cyanna, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started coastline creations on nothing but a dream of making affordable accessories so anyone and everyone can express themselves and be able to wear the jewelry they always wanted but couldn’t afford. It all started when I was messing around making my own jewelry for myself and my husband said “why don’t you share this with other people and let them buy your jewelry or make custom pieces for people” I pushed it off because surely I’m not good enough for that and no one will like it. After a few good compliments on my jewelry while out and a bout I decided “you know what let’s do it” so I got to making I didn’t leave my office for days. I got off social media for a much needed mental health break so my husband started all of our social media while I made our Shopify store. I honestly owe it all to my husband that is my biggest supporter. Once we kicked off I started doing farmers markets locally every weekend. Sharing the love, fun, and similar stories with people at the market I decided I wanted to do more to help. Now everything we make get split so most of my income can go to other families in need. No one should go hungry cold and alone. We used our proceeds from the farmers market and we provided thanksgiving dinners for 5 families here in Clermont. Those same families are getting their Christmas lists filled by my husband and it is and will stay completely anonymous. So coastline is way more than just a small jewelry business. It’s literally blood sweat and tears but I wouldn’t change it for the world because at the end of them day I get to make jewelry that I love while helping the community that I love.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It’s never a smooth road when starting a small business. Sleepless nights, product not arriving in time to make certain pieces, slow days at the markets with no sales same with online. I won’t give up though. I will still continue to push my small business so I can continue to help people in need.
We are also in the midst of opening a mobile thrift shop and food pantry intertwined so anything that customers buy will go towards feeding and clothing more families. Riptide & Pearls will be launched in early 2026.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I don’t specialize in anything other than loving everyone. I’m so passionate about my goals. Every piece in our shop is handmade and up cycled. I don’t usually order anything hardware on line. Everything you see is most likely from pieces of other things from thrift stores and antique shops. So no piece is the same as the other. I also do custom orders and remembrance pieces. I have suffered many miscarriages so I provide bracelets and necklaces to remember you little one. Those are free because any grieving mama and dad deserve it.

Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
Any small business, women owned, family owned etc is what I like to shop with. They deserve my money more than any big corporation. I’d rather help families than the big guy up top that is already a millionaire.
