My journey to where I am today began over two decades ago when I first became passionate about helping women feel empowered and healthy. I started my career in healthcare as a registered nurse and then became a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner, and over the years, I saw firsthand how hormonal imbalances, aging, and lifestyle factors could significantly impact women’s quality of life.
As I gained more experience, I realized that many women weren’t getting the personalized, science-based care they needed to truly thrive. This inspired me to elevate my approach — integrating advanced diagnostics, hormone optimization, peptides, and holistic wellness strategies to support women’s physical and emotional health.
Founding Essential Woman LLC allowed me to create a practice dedicated solely to women’s health, where personalized, cutting-edge treatments are the norm. Today, I focus on hormone balancing, energy restoration, hormone therapy, and peptide therapies — all tailored to each woman’s unique needs. My goal is to help women not just live longer but live better, with vitality, confidence, and purpose at every age
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The journey has definitely had its hurdles, but each challenge has taught me valuable lessons. One of the biggest struggles was navigating the rapidly evolving landscape of women’s health and integrative/optimization medicine. Staying ahead with the latest research, diagnostics, and treatments requires constant study and adaptation.
Another challenge was building trust in a field where misinformation can spread quickly. I’ve always been committed to evidence-based practices, but convincing other providers and patients of a personalized, science-backed approach took time and persistence.
Additionally, integrating new technologies like AI diagnostics and peptide therapies required investment and education—for both myself and my team. But seeing the positive impact on my patients—and helping them regain their vitality, lose weight, clear the brain fog—makes every obstacle worth overcoming.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
What I love most about Ocala is its strong sense of community and the beautiful natural surroundings. The city offers a wonderful balance of small-town charm and growing opportunities. I appreciate the friendly, close-knit feel here, which truly makes it a welcoming place to build a practice and serve women who care deeply about their health.
One thing I’d like to see improve is the availability of healthcare resources focused specifically on integrative and personalized medicine. While the community is growing, expanding access to cutting-edge wellness options and holistic health services would help residents enjoy even greater overall well-being and longevity.
Overall, I feel proud to be part of this city and excited about its potential to become a leader in innovative women’s health and wellness.
