Meet Danielle Jhiani of My OCD Coach

Today we’d like to introduce you to Danielle Jhiani.

Hi Danielle, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I used to struggle with anxiety and OCD. While I went to therapy and got some help there, I learned over the years that therapy was missing come crucial information and processes that would have helped me get better quicker. Also, only 1-3% of therapists are properly trained to recognize or treat OCD, so many people go undiagnosed or improperly treated for decades. This led me to become a coach so I could work with people more effectivelly and all over the world.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
My coaching business grew smoothly the first 4 years, but it’s been a bit of a challenge as I’ve tried to grow. My husband left his job last year to work with me, and going down 1 income (with a toddler) has added some stress. Also, my newest, more comprehensive program is a bit more time consuming for me.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I help people overcome anxiety and OCD more permanently, since they can both be very chronic. While I do work with all OCD subsets (there are a lot of them, most people don’t know about), I have a speciality in relationship OCD. What sets me apart from others is that I teach more wholistic, long-term recovery. Whereas therapy tends to be more targeted to current issue problem-s0lving, leaving people in the up and down cycle of chronic OCD.

I am most proud of the deeper recovery work that I help people with and the knowledge and method I’ve created by overcoming OCD myself. While (good) OCD recovery help isn’t usually cheap, I offer better, more long-term tools and strategies to help people feel better quicker and longer. I also offer payment plans and a limited number of monthly scholarships for those who cannot afford help.

What are your plans for the future?
I’m currently launching a program called First Steps to Freedom, a beginners option for those who cannot afford my signature program. I’m also looking forward to doing in-person retreats in the future.

Pricing:

  • First Steps to Freedom – $499
  • The Path (for all OCD subsets) – $2000
  • The Path to Love (for ROCD) $2000
  • Destination: Stay Free, Live Free – $47/week
