Today we’d like to introduce you to David Mallory.
Hi David, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
The architectural practice was started in 2019 by David Mallory, located in Orlando, Florida.
My first project was a single-family house located in Eustis, FL. The project came about because one of the partners at the firm I worked for had a friend who wanted to build a house and was looking for an Architect. During that same year, the firm was combined with Nestor Diaz, who also worked at the same firm.
The business has developed based on the primary principle of establishing a strong relationship with the clients we serve.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not been a smooth road, which is typical for anyone starting a business. One of the biggest struggles in starting the business was dealing with the business aspect of architecture. When you are employed by an architectural practice, you never realize how much time is spent just doing that phase of the work.

The firm approaches each project no matter the size with a unique design perspective and dedication to achieving the desired result. Through design, we think an architectural space can influence the way people live, think, and interact within a space.
DM Architect has been involved in a variety of projects which include single-family, multi-family, multi-use, casino renovation, senior-living projects, and high-rise buildings.
