Hi, Deshawn. Can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
As I started making music and learning more about the music/entertainment industry, I fell in love with making music (2020)along the way to attending the first institute to learn the basics of it all. Going back to when I first got in front of the mic, a decision I had to process mentally, knowing what comes with dropping everything I know and growing into the artist I am today. It took a lot, but as I stand today, I wouldn’t change anything I did in the past to put me in this position today.
Alright, let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
Mentally it’s been hard, but that’s what I signed up for. But the love of it all keeps me going. Fighting the voices of doubt and hating feeling unseen are things I have faced since I was a kid; as I got older, I understood more that people don’t like what they aren’t used to or can’t do. But knowing I do everything for the right reasons and living my true self makes the bumpy roads smoother as I put 1 foot forward at a time, day by day.

Artist name: BIGGBENZ I make music for the vibes. When you want to lay back and unwind or if you are about to go out for the night, BIGGBENZ is the artist who just wanna live his life to the fullest and enjoy his time. Even when it gets hard, his voice is a sound of reassurance that we are all fighting our demons and can see the light at the end of the tunnel.
How do you think about luck?
Luck only works when you put good or bad energy into the air through your actions. I live by treating people with respect and helping when I can. But with music, the luck comes from putting in your 1000+ hrs. Overnight fame can be lost in a day, but 100 nights of grind can keep you around forever if you play it right.
