Meet e.clips3

Today we’d like to introduce you to e.clips3.

e.clips3, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Honestly ever since I was a kid I was surrounded by music. My family played a huge role in who I am today. Mom was a singer, Dad was a drummer. (so I’m told) lol. My grandmother who also raised me was a piano teacher and choir director. I also had aunts who played piano, uncles and cousins who were DJs, drummers, and beatmakers. Music was pretty much unavoidable haha. When I turned 13 I got introduced to FL Studio 8 which was a beat making software my mom had on her computer. Her and my oldest cousin would record music on that thing for hours on end. I had no idea what I was doing at that time but I always knew I would figure it out.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
NO WAY! Haha. I’m still dealing with struggles even today. I don’t know that I’ll ever go without those. Honestly, a life without them sounds boring anyways. There’s no satisfaction in that. My best music has always came from the worst moments in my life. Working on my childish dreams while living in an adult reality is a daily balancing act. At least once a month I want to quit everything. But I don’t know I guess I just keep pushing on even in those moments. I try to remind myself what I’m working towards.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
So I am a music producer. I think what people know me for as of late is my remixes through SoundCloud. I make a lot of original production but like to grab vocals of artists that people are familiar with and try to make a new concept that is better than the original. I think I’m most proud of my Kehlani flip “toxic”. That remix sits as my highest played track with 152 thousand plays. I think the thing that sets me apart from most producers is versatility. I believe a lot of mainstream producers stick to one sound which isn’t fun. The world is too big to stay one dimensional feel me?

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Probably traveling. I try to stay on a plane at least once a month or every other month if I can. I love going to new places and seeing new people. Experiencing different culture is important. The world is too big to stay in your backyard your whole life. I don’t want to get to my 30’s or 40’s looking back on where I could’ve been. Especially with what’s going on in the world right now. Tomorrow is never promised.
