Today we’d like to introduce you to Edgardo Morales
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I got to Orlando Fl in 2013. I started working in Autozone. And in 2016 I decided to start my own mobile detailing business by selling a car I had. There on I started getting equipment and I got to work. Little by little I started getting interested in paint and body work. A friend gave me the opportunity to work on his cars. Thanks to my background in detailing, I would eventually get the recognition of Honda enthusiasts. And today im known to restore classic Hondas in the Orlando area.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
While I was doing mobile detailing the there was one factor that made the road so bumpy, the weather. But once I got my own shop that changed into problems with employees that lied about their skills, therefore making the business and myself waste time and money. Since then I decided to start teaching my own employees how to do their jobs correctly.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
From a young age my parents were both in different car clubs. Being raised in that environment made me create my own car club. Making me appreciate the aesthetics of each vehicle. That influenced my work on vehicles. What most distinguish me is the way I make the cars shine making them look wet, the way in i can restore faded paint by polishing them. Being self taught never stopped me from improving and giving my best to make costumers fall in love with their vehicles. Another thing people love from me is the way i conduct my business, being honest and always giving options to the costumer. Not trying to rip off nobody.
Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
I’d say to always follow your gut feeling. If something doesnt feel right, dont do it. And learn how to manage their time because time is money.
