Meet Elise Allen of Orlando

Today we’d like to introduce you to Elise Allen.

Hi Elise, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Hi, my name is Elise but everybody calls me Lili. I’ve been tattooing for 11 years now I moved here from Atlanta, Georgia. I started my apprenticeship here in Florida and proceeded in my career as a tattoo artist I specialize in neotraditional, Japanese, and blackwork. I have a huge love and a passion for Art in all forms. Tattooing has really changed my life in a lot of positive ways that has made me extremely happy with my growth as an artist and I push myself to learn more and more every day.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The struggles that I faced is learning that the Tattoo industry can be a very competitive world. My apprenticeship was not an easy one, but it helped me build a strong backbone to get far into my career. The one thing I can say about being an artist is that every day is a new learning experience depending on how hard you push yourself.I thrive to push myself to learn as much as I can to go far in the Tattoo industry.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Specializing and neotraditional, Japanese, and blackwork are definitely my favorite topics. I’m really proud of my neotraditional work I would have to say out of everything. It is my favorite. I love the illustrative part of that style of art. Neotraditional is a style that can go in any direction, which makes it a lot of fun.
Japanese artwork is very clean and solid and it is a style that is completely timeless that is built to last forever. One thing that I absolutely love about Japanese artwork is that everything tells a story.
Blackwork is more of the Gothic dark side, which I love a lot as well.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
I feel like having the characteristic of being in good spirits and carrying positive energy really does help a lot when it comes to my success, spreading joy and laughter, and making sure everybody has a great time with one another really is a fantastic feeling that you can share
