Hi Emily, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
In 2022, we opened our first Savannah Taylor store in Downtown Chattanooga with wide eyes and hopeful hearts. Not long after, we opened our second and third location in Cambridge Square Ooltewah and Park Avenue, Winter Park, FL.
What started as a dream quickly turned into a full-blown journey of growth, learning, and the most beautiful community we could have imagined.
We’ve celebrated milestones, walked through hard days, and cheered each other on every step of the way. Our team became a family, and our customers became friends.
We built Savannah Taylor with love, and every moment inside these walls has felt like a page in our story. Every dress steamed, every mirror wiped, every flower hung on the walls—all of it was done with the hope that women would walk out feeling better than when they came in.
The past few years have been nothing short of extraordinary.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Throughout the journey, we faced our share of challenges. There were obvious mishaps—like when the iPads would die mid-checkout or the ceiling decided to leak during a rainstorm—but even in those moments, we found laughter and resilience. Nothing compared to the joy and fulfillment we felt each time we got to help a woman feel beautiful, confident, and seen.
Saying goodbye to Chattanooga was one of the hardest parts of our journey. That space wasn’t just a store—it was where Savannah Taylor was born. It was where we hosted our very first styling appointments and listened to countless stories from customers about the special moments they were dressing for. It was the heartbeat of our beginnings, and closing that chapter was emotional and deeply personal.
When opening in 2022, we had also been walking through years of infertility during this season—a quiet, painful chapter filled with heartbreak, waiting, and hope. But in God’s perfect timing, we were blessed with the most precious gift of all: the news that we were expecting our first son, Samuel. That moment shifted everything.
With that beautiful shift came a deeper calling. As much as we loved this business and its location—and all the people and memories that came with it—we knew it was time to slow down and focus fully on our growing family. To embrace the quiet moments, the sacred beginnings, and the sweet in-betweens of becoming parents.
It wasn’t always a smooth road. But it was a meaningful one—marked by hard goodbyes, sacred new beginnings, and the kind of joy that only comes from walking alongside your customers and helping them feel their absolute best. We carry it all with immense gratitude.
Now, we’re rooted in Park Avenue—a place that feels like it was made for Savannah Taylor. It’s warm, inviting, and full of life. It has given us the perfect flagship home to grow our roots here in Florida, and we couldn’t imagine a more beautiful community to continue building this dream.
