Today we’d like to introduce you to Eric Miller.
Hi Eric, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
Making a career transition from the Food and Beverage industry to real estate was a challenging but rewarding move. While the two industries may seem vastly different, several skills and experiences are transferable to make a successful career as a Realtor. My industry experience was a valuable asset in real estate.
Customer service skills and attention to detail can be applied to working with clients and managing transactions. With any career making a successful transition takes time and dedication, but with the right approach and mindset, I have been able to achieve my goals and thrive in my new role as a Realtor in the Orlando area market.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
For the most part, it has been a smooth road but it does take time to grow your business. Networking and building relationships provide valuable insight and help you learn to grow your business. The biggest struggle would have to be reminding everyone that you are a Realtor.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I think that I became a Realtor at a great time with the changing processes of how accessible homebuying changed after Covid. With the advancement of technology and the use of social media, and how people interact differently than a decade ago.
I have always had a servant mentality and continue to want and help first-time homebuyers and first responders have the opportunity to become homeowners. It is a great feeling with such a major purchase that I build more than a business relationship but clients become family.
Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting.
That it will take a long time to build your business. There is a lot of time and money invested with no return on investments for 6 months to a year. Don’t get discouraged and have a good support system with family. Like anything in life if it was easy everyone would do it.
