Today we’d like to introduce you to Gbo Ponzi.
Hi Gbo, I’m so excited to have you on the platform. Before we ask about your work life, you can introduce yourself and tell your story so our readers will know how you got to where you are today.
Why would you not want to read about me? That’s the question: the difference in my voice, my style, my cadence; I’m just a different breed; I’m considering a 1 of 1. I’ve been around music since I was a child, but I took it seriously 2-3 years ago; I just took a year off due to legal issues. I’ve been through it all: struggle: no electricity for weeks, Lighting matches on the stove to get hot water, eating school lunch for dinner, being in jail for 10 months, losing everything, and currently trying to get it back; I just never lost faith. I got best dressed in high school(I still got the picture). I recently got my pilot’s license; that’s how fly I am. I’ve been in 2 movies so far and got my music on a few different soundtracks; I’m working, though I haven’t gotten anything serious yet. I’ve gotten co-signs on social media from many established artists/athletes. I’m Currently Working on A Album Titled: “Gbo Vs Ponzi” , I Plan on Releasing It early 2024.
Would it have been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Life is never smooth, but I keep my faith and my head high because I know that anything is possible as long as I have the Lord on my side.

I’m known for my style and cadence; my personality sets me apart. When I say I will get something done, I do it. I am working on singles, dropping visual after visual; the only challenge I’m facing right now is to hit my 200 mark before the year ends; so far, I have 150 unreleased songs I recorded this year. And I’m stopping once I have 200+ songs on my hard drive. My dreams will become a reality; I see myself crowd surfing, owning chimpanzees, performing at festivals and arenas, being in magazines, and touring the world, from kids to older people.
