Today we’d like to introduce you to Gigi Santiago.
Gigi, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
People have always talked to me; as a teenager, many schoolmates would ask my advice. I felt I had to have an answer. As an adult, I worked for my church and felt I needed to listen better. I am a trained Spiritual Director but found the people I sat with needed more “worldly” advice as they were trying to compartmentalize their relationship with God, putting it into boxes.
That’s when I learned about life coaching. I was certified in 2016 as an elite life coach and in 2021 as a business coach. Owning a business with my husband since the 1990’s, I understand how thoughts can hinder one’s ability to follow through and achieve the success we craved. That’s how my coaching firm, Optimal-Mindset LLC was born.
We help overthinking, overwhelmed Entrepreneurs achieve the success they crave by helping them to stop thinking, start doing to achieve success. I created the ACE coaching framework to help them to create daily habits that lead to productivity, gratitude, and intentionally. ACE is for Awareness, Commitment, Execution; you can make a commitment for a mindset shift from awareness gained but without execution, it’s ineffective to creating the life you desire. At Optimal-Mindset, we are committed to your overall success in life.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
For me, the struggle has been two-fold:
1. Who do I like to work with? This took me awhile to realize this because I wanted to help everyone. But once I figured out that overthinkers are my best clients because they want the change, it’s been so great to see people succeed.
2. How to help them really be clear in what their desire is so we can strategically plan to achieve success? As a recovering overthinker, I had to overcome my own self-sabotage in how I conducted business and limited myself. Doing this, I realized what had worked for me, allowing me to create the ACE coaching framework, to help clients like me who get in our own way. Yes, I’m an executive life coach, yet I’ve been my own client as well. Helping others achieve the success they envision, know is out there, and crave is an incredible feeling. I am truly blessed to do what I do.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
My favorite childhood memory is sitting on my father’s lap while driving. I loved how he would make me believe I was driving. I would smile big because I felt powerful. It was so much fun that I couldn’t wait to drive when I turned 18.
