Hi Greeney, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, let’s briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
Thank you for having me. I kicked off my foodie and travel journey back in college, fueled by the heartwarming memories of my upbringing in Orlando. Shoutout to my dad; because of him, our weekends were always an adventure, uncovering all the different attractions that Orlando has to offer, being one of the biggest tourism destinations then and still now. As I transitioned into adulthood, my passion for discovering unique spots blossomed.
Throughout college, my friends and I loved traveling and surprising each other with new foodie finds. During that time, brunch was a very popular activity on the weekends, and it became my mission to pick a new brunch spot whenever we got together. Without giving it much thought, I decided to showcase our journeys on TikTok. I remember one specific post featuring a brunch spot named Dexter’s The New Standard in Winter Park, which is now owned by a different restaurant called Anejo. This post gained immense popularity on TikTok, and the wave of positivity that followed fueled my content creation fire. I never knew people were so interested in the things I was passionately doing with friends and family every weekend.
Over time, my passion transformed into something beyond my wildest dreams. My platform turned into a guide for individuals eager to travel and explore the city, allowing me to highlight the beauty right in our own backyard.
As I reflect on this journey, I am immensely grateful for everyone who follows my page and showers it with love and support through daily.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I faced several challenges on my journey as a content creator, including navigating a niche with limited representation of individuals who looked like me. This initially made me feel isolated in my creator journey. However, over time, I discovered a community of creatives eager to support each other, share experiences, and foster a transparent environment where we could thrive together.
Consistency in posting became another hurdle, especially when some doubted the potential success of my page in the beginning. In response, I chose to block out the naysayers and continued creating content, something I loved sharing. The positive responses and amazing opportunities stemming from my content are what push me to persist in this journey.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Im a Content Creator/Foodie / Traveler with a passion for traveling and exploring local eats and attractions. I work with local businesses and restaurants to showcase the beauty that can be found in one’s own backyard by taking locals on an experience from hidden gems to the finest attractions. Navigating the Central Florida food scene for the best cuisine and things to do is nothing new to me and influencing those around me to try new places is my mission. I have a love for foods and new adventures from every corner of the world and the passion to highlight a local scene near you.
