Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I am no stranger to life’s storms. I have had more than my share of life’s tornadoes and hurricanes. To inspire, motivate and empower others other I am teaching my “P-Factor” Principles of Survival to help others overcome any challenge. As the “Hope Doctor,” I have dedicated my life to the injection of hope into the hopeless and discouraged across America.

I am a recent widow and lost the beloved love of my life of thirty-four years, the Reverend Dr. Leroy Powell, Jr., so unexpectedly due to an aneurysm on his heart. I was totally devastated. I am also a two-time breast cancer survivor. Most recently, during the pandemic in December 2020, I battled a life and death situation and won in the fight against this dreadful disease. In 2006 I survived the loss of my successful two-decade-old business after I was forced to retire after my first bout with an aggressive breast cancer. I have also survived three hurricanes that severely damaged my estate home. When I was in Junior High school and as the eldest of five siblings at the age of 13, my father was murdered. As the eldest, I helped my widowed mother, a former housewife with little income, to pull the family through. I have been a former divorced and I survived as a single parent, I was bullied all through elementary and High school but with my faith, I made it in spite of. It has been a journey, but I refuse to let life obstacles consume me. Life will give you what you are willing to fight for and God is faithful.

Likened unto the Biblical characters, Ruth and Job, I continue to rise up after many challenges, including being stripped of many of my material possessions. How did I overcome? The keys lie within my seven P-Factors. On this journey called life, know for certain that you will fall down, but rest assured, you can get up. As the “Hope Doctor,” I use the “P” in survival and my P-Factors to help people get through any situation they may be facing. In times like these, people all over the world are seeking even a glimpse of hope, my daily injections of a dose of hope will change the life of others. After having survived so many life storms, my purpose is to give hope to others.
